:Inspiration

It was Kismet, and then fate, that I became a stylist. Over 32 years ago, riding a bus while thinking about a good career, we passed a cosmetology school ... I hopped off the bus and enrolled. Early on, my grandparents taught me there is no shame in an honest job – just take your time and do it right. And to work on being a better person today than you were yesterday. Today, my clients continue to inspire me, especially when they want to try something different. With new clients, I ask questions, and listen. I repeat back to be sure we’re in agreement. Ultimately, if they’re happy, so am I. If they look good, they’ll feel good. I offer ideas on how to prevent damage to their hair. I’m a voracious reader, and whenever I see an article about hair care, I’m soaking it up.

:Education

Styling Since 1992 * I graduated from high school and started at NW Missouri State University but left early to be an Army medic. I finished the Cosmetology program at House of Heavilin Cosmetology. I earned two certificates - reflexology and spa treatments, and apprenticed for 6 months in massage therapy.
